The history

For over 80 years Sörbyn has had a strong non-profit community in the context of Sörbyn Idrottsförening. SIF was founded in 1926 and over the years the business has grown from swimming, football, sports activities and Sörby park at adapting to new needs with camping, cabins and conference center.

We currently are in the process of taking the company into a new era, is very proud of our village and the people who created the it for more than three quarter of a century. They are great role models and we need to carefully modify the facility to meet new demands, wishes and needs.

Already in the 30's was part of the facility constructed, which has led to many positive things. Large dance floor was built in 1948 and 1964 built the 8-squared-timbered barn where people for many years has danced.

During the 80th century, the first cottage was built that later grew in numbers during "The Råneå river walley projekt" in the mid 90s.

Now we are facing the biggest investment in the park's history as a restaurant and hotel section built, which was inaugurated in spring 2010.
